About the Rutland Historic Churches Preservation Trust
Welcome to the home of the Rutland Historic Churches Preservation Trust. The Trust was set up in 1954 to provide a financial helping hand to places of worship in the county of Rutland.
Rutland has many fine churches, in fact Simon Jenkins in his book
England’s Thousand Best Churches says that (Rutland) has more
good churches per square mile than any other (county)
!
Rutland's historic churches attract many visitors to the area and the expectation is that the churches will be there for people to enjoy whenever they like. In fact the cost of keeping churches in good repair for people to enjoy is high, and this is where the Trust can help.
